In addition, he has proven himself to be completely untrustworthy, so the last thing that I would recommend is trusting him with any personal information by signing up for the site. Arthmoor has made way too many horrible comments about this community, its authors, and its users over the years.

I can't support AFKmods and I would not be willing to download anything from there.

SKSE has been available for SSE for years now, and pretty much every noteworthy mod for SLE have either been ported or equal/better alternatives made available (though, again, Requiem being the notable exception). That being said, SSE has long since surpassed SLE in just about every aspect that matters and the only people who have a legitimate reason to stick with SLE are mostly fringe cases. Lastly, I have heard a while back that ENB for SLE is supposedly more feature-complete, but I am unsure if this still holds true, as I am not a hardcore ENB user myself.

If you really cannot do without any of those mods and there are no alternatives for SSE that suit your needs, then in that case, one may chose to stick with SLE. If you are committed to an extensive-enough mod setup and/or playthrough and you are not yet ready to start over and redownload potentially dozens of GBs of mods, there is no point of switching to SSE.Īdditionally, there are some mods (which are mostly extremely niche, with Requiem being a very notable exception) that have not yet been (properly) ported to SSE. Of course, there are other reasons some people may chose to stay with SLE instead of switching to SSE.

That said, you will have to go back quite a ways to find a system like that any decent gaming PC built in the last 5-6 years will probably run SSE better anyway keep in mind that SSE is much better optimized for more modern hardware. SSE does have somewhat higher system requirements that SLE, so yes, if you have an older/weaker system, SLE will probably run better. I promise there is no meanness of spirit in my asking this: what are some good reasons to carry on using LE? Are there CPU/GPUs that can deal with LE fine but choke on SE?
